Peterloon is the Dan Beard Council’s large-scale bi-annual encampment for Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members.
Leadership in Action focuses on the importance of leadership, teamwork, and cooperation, and how these essential skills can be used to impact the world positively. It encourages Scouts to develop skills to help themselves and others.

Trunk or Treat
The October Pack meeting will be a Trunk or Treat. Come dressed up in your Halloween costume (no weapons please) and pass out candy from your decorated trunk. Prizes will be given for the both costumes and trunks.

Blue & Gold Dinner/Arrow of Light Crossover Celebration
Happy Birthday Scouting!!!
It is time to celebrate all things Scouting. Scouting was founded on February 8, 1910. Pack 941’s February Pack meeting celebrates not only the founding of Scouting, but also all the hard work our Arrow of Light Scouts have accomplished on their Scouting Trail. This evening the Arrow of Light Scouts will “crossover” to the BSA Scouting Troop of their choosing.
The Arrow of Light Den is currently discussing how they want to celebrate their Scouting Adventure. Stay tuned to the page for their final decision…..

Cub World Camp Conservation Day
This is a great way for Scouts to earn service hours while working to conserve Dan Beard camp properties. Projects include tree planting, erosion control, removing invasive species, and much more! Service hours can count towards rank advancements and school awards! Bring your gloves and a water bottle; Cub World provide a free hot lunch.

Spring Campout
Spring is a great time to camp! In the past Pack 941 had joined Troop 990 at the Timberhill section at Rentschler Park.

Council Pinewood Derby
The Council PWD will be held on May 4th, 2024. It will be held at the "Living Room" at Liberty Center (between Dick's and Dillard's). Inspection will be from 9am-11am and early arrival is suggested. Please see attached documents for more information and instructions.
Scouting for Food - Pick Up
Pack 941 will be participating with Troop 990 in this year's Scouting for Food. This is a wonderful service activity where we serve our local community. Troop 990 is chartered with Faith Community UMC on Cox Road (between the Hopewells). FCUMC runs a food pantry and the food we collect goes directly to the pantry!
Scouting for Food takes place over 2 Satrudays. On the first we pass out flyers in the neighborhood behind Hopewell. One the second we collect any food left on the doorsteps in the area we passed out the flier. Feel free to join in one or both weekends! We will be working with the Troop - Troop 990 Scouts will be out with the Pack 941 Scouts!

We will meet in the community room to get our map area for food pickup. We carpool and collect in small groups.Once we return with the food we will help put it in the Food Pantry.
Feel free to bring items on the 12th to donate to the Food Pantry!

Pack Meeting - Blue and Gold Banquet
Blue and Gold Banquet Blue and Gold Banquets are a tradition in Cub Scout packs. They are a celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the BSA on February 8, 1910, and therefore usually take the place of the February pack meeting.
Wolf Den 2 Meeting
Learn how to properly fold the flag. We will participate in a flag ceremony (present the colors) at a Pack meeting before this meeting. I could also have someone from the VFW come talk with the boys, and include the veteran in flag folding.
Wolf Den 2 Meeting
Jay can teach us to sign the Cub Scout Motto or something of his choice. Mrs. Jen will show photographs and art as a form of communication.
Scout Tubing at Perfect North
The pack will cover tubing costs for scouts.
Siblings are welcome but will need or provide $25 entry fee out of pocket.
Tubing reservation is from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We’ll meet at Hopewell Elementary at 1:30 pm for those who are interested in caravanning.

Wolf Den 2 Meeting
Work as a den to create a skit. We will perform this skit during the Pinewood Derby. There is usually time between opening flags and the first race or between heats.
